Is this new trend attractive or butch? What do you think?

Daily Mail – Madonna was probably the one who started it (she usually is), with her sinewy, yoga-honed physique.

Thighs that could crack nuts, abs straight out of Men’s Health magazine, biceps and triceps so pumped up as to render Popeye a helpless weed.

All part of her athletic, Glamazonian image, you might say. But it’s also the only real option for a celebrity in her 50s determined to carry on dressing and cavorting like a 17-year-old.

Dieting alone may keep you thin, but it won’t preserve the plump, springy flesh of youth — a fact increasingly taken to heart by the current crop of A-list divas.

As the softness of youth fades, it’s replaced by a hard-ass, hard-won gym look — aptly demonstrated by Victoria Beckham this week, as she unveiled her latest look: a set of shockingly sinewy biceps.

Of course, we’ve long been used to Posh’s super-slender and tautly toned figure, but as she arrived at the Burberry party in London this week, her signature strapless black dress drew the eye to a startling pair of muscle-bound upper arms.

She’s far from alone. Amal Clooney, Renee Zellweger, Demi Moore, Donatella Versace, Anna Wintour, Kylie Minogue, Kirsty Gallacher — the members of the Sinewy Sisterhood are growing. Fast.
